Hi, I am Jin Kim, a Los Angeles based designer who brings brand stories to life through graphic design, motion, and illustration, shaping visual identity across mediums.
I studied Graphic Design at RISD and graduated in Winter 2023. My work translates brand identity into visual language through motion, color, and line, aiming for clarity, rhythm, and a warm sense of personality.
I enjoy projects that start with a strong story or emotion at the core. I often begin by imagining the visual atmosphere, the scene, the colors, and the feeling I want to express. That usually leads me to build the design first, then use motion to add depth and meaning. I love when movement supports the message, not just the style, so the emotion and narrative land more clearly. The most rewarding projects for me are the ones where design and motion work together to tell a story in a vivid and intentional way.
